DHKE CueSheetPro™

DHKE CueSheetPro™

NO MUSIC LOG. NO XML. NO TRACK INFORMATION.

WE CAN STILL BUILD THE CUE SHEET.

Not sure where to begin? Feeling overwhelmed? That's exactly what CueSheetPro™ was designed to solve.

DHKE CueSheetPro™ solves a complex music documentation problem: creating a professional cue sheet after the fact, when the original music log, track information, production data, and notes are missing or unavailable.

CueSheetPro™ starts with your finished program and works backwards to reconstruct the information needed to create the cue sheet.

Creating a cue sheet is relatively straightforward when you already have the music log, timeline, XML data, composer information, track list, and other underlying music records.

But what happens when those records don't exist?

That's where DHKE CueSheetPro™ is different.

CueSheetPro™ is designed to work backwards from your completed film or television program. Using forensic audio analysis, music recognition and fingerprinting technology, professional databases, production credits, PRO records, catalog research, and manual verification, we work to reconstruct the information needed to prepare a professional music cue sheet.

We identify music within the finished program, research identifiable tracks and rights information, determine IN and OUT points and durations, classify usage, cross-reference available sources, and assemble the findings into a completed professional music cue sheet.

You don't need to bring us all the puzzle pieces. Finding the missing pieces is part of what CueSheetPro™ does.

Before we begin, we need to hear your project.

DHKE CueSheetPro™ provides professional forensic music cue sheet preparation for qualifying films and television programs. Because music identification depends on the quality, source, and composition of the program audio, every project begins with a complimentary eligibility review.

Eligibility does not guarantee identification of every music cue. CueSheetPro™ uses professional audio analysis, music recognition, research, and forensic review to identify and document music to the fullest extent reasonably possible from the supplied materials.

CueSheetPro™ services start at $199 per program or episode, with pricing based on runtime.

Up to 30 minutes: $199
31 to 60 minutes: $349
61 to 120 minutes: $499
Over 120 minutes: Custom quote

Series are priced per episode based on runtime.

DHKE CueSheetPro™ Submission & Eligibility

DHKE CueSheetPro™ provides professional forensic music identification, research, timing, and cue sheet preparation for qualifying film and television productions.

Before You Submit

CueSheetPro™ is designed for professionally produced projects containing music obtained from legitimate, identifiable, and traceable sources.

Music may include, but is not limited to:

  • Commercially released songs and recordings

  • Production music and music library tracks

  • Royalty-free music obtained from established music libraries or licensing platforms

  • Music licensed directly from composers, publishers, record labels, artists, or other authorized rights holders

  • Original music commissioned specifically for the production

  • Music created by composers or music supervisors credited in the production or identifiable through professional industry sources

  • Music registered with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, or another recognized performing rights organization [PRO]

  • Music for which composer, songwriter, publisher, label, catalog, ISRC, ISWC, IPI/CAE, licensing, or other identifying information is reasonably available

  • Public domain compositions where the composition and, when applicable, the specific recording can be reasonably identified

Important Music Source Requirement

CueSheetPro™ relies on forensic audio analysis, music recognition technology, professional databases, performing rights organization records, production credits, licensing information, and independent research to identify music and determine available rights information.

For that process to work, the music in your production must have a reasonably traceable professional source.

CueSheetPro™ is not intended to reconstruct missing music records for unregistered, undocumented, privately created, or otherwise untraceable music. For example, if a friend, family member, local musician, or other individual created or recorded music specifically for your project and that music was never commercially released, registered, published, licensed, cataloged, credited, or otherwise documented, DHKE may have no independent means of determining the composition title, writer, publisher, ownership, or other information required for a professional cue sheet.

If you used original or privately commissioned music, you should already possess documentation identifying the composer and other applicable rights holders.

Your Representation

By submitting a project for DHKE CueSheetPro™ review, you represent that, to the best of your knowledge:

  1. The music contained in your production was lawfully obtained or created for use in the production.

  2. You have the necessary authority to submit the production and its audio to DHKE for analysis.

  3. The music was obtained from professional, licensed, commissioned, commercially released, royalty-free, production-library, public-domain, or otherwise legitimate sources.

  4. Original or commissioned music is supported by sufficient composer and rights information to permit accurate cue sheet preparation.

  5. You understand that DHKE cannot guarantee identification of every piece of music contained in a production.

Forensic Analysis

For qualifying projects, DHKE may use a combination of audio analysis, music recognition and fingerprinting technology, music and speech detection, production credits, publicly available industry information, music databases, PRO records, catalog information, and manual forensic research to identify and document music contained in the submitted program.

Identification results are independently reviewed and evaluated before information is incorporated into the completed cue sheet.

Eligibility Review

Every project begins with a preliminary CueSheetPro™ eligibility review.

DHKE will review the submitted program to determine whether the audio, music content, and available identifying information appear suitable for CueSheetPro™ processing.

Submission for review does not constitute acceptance of the project and does not obligate DHKE to provide CueSheetPro™ services.

If your title passes the initial review, DHKE will send you an email confirming that the title is eligible for CueSheetPro™ and providing instructions to proceed.

Service Fee

For titles accepted into CueSheetPro™, service fees are based on program runtime and are payable in advance. If your title qualifies, DHKE will notify you by email with payment instructions.

Identification Limitations

Acceptance into CueSheetPro™ does not guarantee that every music cue will be identifiable or that complete rights information will be available for every identified composition or recording.

DHKE will prepare the cue sheet using information that can be reasonably identified and independently supported through the submitted materials and available professional sources.

DHKE will not invent, assume, or knowingly attribute unsupported composer, publisher, ownership, PRO, or other rights information solely for the purpose of completing a field on a cue sheet.
